MSCP Lincoln Hub

Multi-storey car park, Lincoln, England

Architects: John Roberts Architects

A functional and aesthetic facade for an award-winning building

A vast regeneration project for Lincoln City Centre has resulted in a modern and effective transport hub for both visitors and residents, with a pedestrian plaza, retail space and a bus station.

The single largest element of the project is the 1,000-space six-level multi-storey car park. The facade of the car park has been created with 3,600 m2 of expanded metal and 400 m2 of perforated sheets, with the Lincoln coat of arms and fleur-de-lis reproduced on to the perforated panels by means of RMIG ImagePerf technology.

The inspirational style of the building and its architectural merits have resulted in the award for Best New Car Park at the British Parking Awards.
