RMIG Germany celebrate 150 years of success

On 13th June 2011, RMIG Germany celebrated its 150th anniversary.

Founded in 1861 by Gottlob Heerbrandt, the factory produced wire for use in the production of screens for paper mills. Towards the end of the 19th century, an engineering works and perforating plant were established, in addition to the existing metal cloth factory.

By 1884 the factory had 124 employees and formed the basis for the economy in the city of Raguhn. On entering the 20th century, the focus was on export to Northern and Central Europe, as well as America.

Today the company is still thriving, maintaining its focus on perforation, with 132 employees and record-breaking turnover and profits.
